The resources on this page have been curated primarily for the internal University of Toronto community of staff and faculty who support outreach, access, transition and retention programs and initiatives. This page contains a resource library, a list of University of Toronto offices & supports and professional development opportunities related to access to post-secondary education.

This is a searchable library of U of T and external resources relevant to access programs. The library contains links to reports, publications, toolkits, guides, data and statistics, primarily in a Canadian context.

This section features U of T offices whose work relates to access programs or that offer relevant supports and resources.

Institutional Equity Office (IEO) mandate is to work collaboratively across the University of Toronto’s three campuses to build capacity, support communities, and provide leadership in support of Indigenous Initiatives, equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism efforts that lead to a greater sense of belonging for all community members.

Anti-Racism & Cultural Diversity Office (ARCDO) provides services to support University members in their efforts to foster environments that are intentionally racially diverse and inclusive through the advancement of equitable practices, education and training and the provision of complaints resolution supports on matters of race, faith and intersecting identities as guided by the Ontario Human Rights Commission.

Sexual & Gender Diversity Office (SGDO) develops partnerships to build supportive learning and working communities at the University of Toronto by working towards equity and challenging discrimination.

Centre for Learning, Leadership & Culture (LLC) mission is to create an inclusive culture that is anchored in employee development, builds future leaders and provides the resources to support all employees to reach their career potential. The LLC offers a wide selection of courses, including EDI and Indigenous offerings.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Office (EDIO) facilitates equity, human rights, and inclusion related programming and systemic change initiatives at the University of Toronto Mississauga. 

Accessibility Services is a confidential service at UTM that provides academic accommodations and supports for students with disabilities. We assist students with navigating disability related barriers to their academic success and also provide supports and programs for learning, problem solving and inclusion.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Office (EDIO) is a central resource for all UTSC community members (students, staff, faculty and librarians) to provide training, programming, and engagement initiatives related to equity, access, discrimination, and harassment.

AccessAbility Services is a student service, academic service and University of Toronto equity office on the University of Toronto Scarborough campus. Its principal function is to support undergraduate, graduate, and non-degree students with disabilities to navigate disability-related barriers and to promote accessible and inclusive policies, practices, procedures and programs at UTSC.

University of Toronto St. George

Accessibility Services strives to provide equitable access to education for University of Toronto students with disabilities, health conditions, and diverse ways of learning. We collaborate with the University community to identify and remove barriers for students, and foster inclusion within learning environments.

Office of Indigenous Initiatives (OII)
The OII website provides an overview to the Indigenous community, initiatives, services, and academic programs on all three U of T campuses. It is a starting point for your journey to discover the vibrant Indigenous communities at U of T, and will lead you to more in-depth resources that have been developed.
First Nations House (FNH) – Indigenous Student Services
FNH provides culturally relevant services to Indigenous students to support academic success, personal growth and leadership development, and offers learning opportunities for all students to engage with Indigenous communities at U of T and beyond.

Office of Indigenous Initiatives (OII)- University of Toronto Mississauga
Following the recommendations of the report, the OII guides the University of Toronto Mississauga’s efforts in amplifying Indigenous voices and Indigenous placekeeping on campus. 

Indigenous Initiatives- University of Scarborough
Indigenous Initiatives at UTSC, in partnership with the Office of Indigenous Initiatives, highlight and celebrate Indigenous ways of knowing by fostering campus and community partnerships and creating an atmosphere which welcomes respectful dialogues that disrupt common narratives.

The Office of the Vice-Provost, Students (OVPS) teams, which ASPO is a part of, include: the Division of Student Life on the St. George Campus, dedicated to student success, provides support and resources through its 12 units, including the Centre for International Experience and Health & Wellness.

The Office of the Vice-Provost, Strategic Enrolment Management (VPSEM) teams include: University Registrar’s Office which includes student financial aid & awards and the University Admissions and Outreach office which works with campus partners, and conducts outreach to prospective students, parents, and community partners to support students through the applications and admissions cycle.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion work at U of T has evolved over many years with key champions — students, staff, faculty, and librarians — engaging and advocating for equitable and inclusive spaces at the University. These efforts with institutional supports and leadership have culminated in the establishment of the University’s Institutional Equity Office (IEO) within the Division of People Strategy, Equity & Culture
